My chainsaw was stolen

By Ryan McFarland in Zieak 4 Comments »

Last week i noticed that my chainsaw was missing from the carport.  I looked around but didn’t notice anything else missing.  The last time i used it i noticed that the bar oil had been leaking out of it because of the way it was hanging up.  So a month and a half ago i put it in a different place - where it could be easily grabbed by someone outside of the carport.  I’ve written about my chainsaw two times on here before.

I have a hunch that it has to do with our frequent calls to the police because of our neighbors screaming at each other.

I filed a report with the police.  If they find the saw they’ll let me know.  And they told me that it is likely to be a felony because of the value of the chainsaw.

Aside from the individually photgraphed items posted I also bought this Pepsi crate and a paint or drywall mud mixer. Cena grabbed a litter box and some clumping litter too. A pretty good haul for $20.

We hit a garage sale today on a whim. We picked up a pile of things for $20 including this conduit bender. I see projects on Instructables.com every now and then like furniture or a bike trailer that require one. Now i’m set!

Using my hand planer to recondition park benches

Using my hand planer to recondition park benches

I can’t hide my adoration of my DeWalt hand planer. I’ve used it at home to recondition cedar that was used for the railings of our deck. The past few days I have used it at Marine Park to give new life to the park benches and tables there.

I began to sand but realized that the years of exposure and annual pressure washing had taken their toll. By using the planer I was able to remove the years of wear and expose fresh wood. I then used a clear wood sealer to help preserve the appearance and increase the durability.
