I was replacing one of the park signs today and love the textures from the old one.

Here’s some detail of the K.  Image taken with my cell phone camera — I’ll try and get some better ones in the future.

Note the cracked paint and the fungus growing inside the routed out letter.  The new sign won’t do that.  Yes, I know — much less character.  But the maintenance is so much easier!

I noticed today while at the grocery store that they had one of the required “All employees must wash hands…” signs over the sink. I got to thinking that putting a sign like that by the sink is only telling the people that are already washing their hands that they are in compliance with the regulation. It seems like a more logical place for that notice would be on the back of the restroom door or better yet, above every urinal and on the back of every stall door.
