I am trying to do the very exact thing you did with adding the date into WordPress. I had even used the very same javascript on the old site, but can’t figure out how to get it into the new site, without hard-coding it into a page template.
I followed your instructions, but end result displayed just the javascript, not the actual date. I am using WPMU 2.6.5 (will be upgrading to 2.7 this weekend). Is there any extra plugin you need to have installed for the javascript to show up in the widget?

Do you sell the NES mouse? I have a controller and a crappy mouse, but I am not talented enough to pull it off. I have failed 4 times (and 7 blisters) now.
If you would sell one, what would the cost be?
