We spent our early Thanksgivings in the car heading to Williamsport. When we were older we headed to Boalsburg. No hunting or football watching at either location. I think when we stayed in Fairport we watched movies, especially A Christmas Story, but that would have been later in the day. You probably don’t remember Thanksgiving mornings because you and Kevin slept through them!

Some years my brothers and I would play street hockey. At one point we had created a trophy out of wood and a plastic ice cream container (to make the cup). We engraved a piece of tin with “The Turkey’s Cup”. My brothers would play each other one on one and I would play goalie. After the “game” we would all drink mountain dew out of the cup and celebrate the “victory”.

The other years we travelled to relatives out of town and I was mainly trying to figure out way to stay out of (or get in) trouble.

ive thought before that it would be nice for every person in town to have owned a local business so they could see things from that same point of view. its hard to make things work here when people are so animate about saving a buck. spend 20.00 online on something or spend 25.00 on it locally and help out the town.
