People do things together

By Ryan McFarland in Scans 1 Comment »

Do thingsPeople do things together was scanned from a children’s book.  I really like checking beat up books that have little chance of being read (missing pages, broken binding, or at the thrift store free pile) for artwork. The image here is a small portion of the scanned page.  Actually it was two pages - a centerfold if you will.  I thought the page would make for a great invitation for a party.

Cart bike in the Boulder County Business Report

By Ryan McFarland in Scans No Comments »

Volume 26, Issue 20 of the Boulder County Business Report (September 14-27, 2007) used my photo of Tim riding the shopping cart bike from Instructables.  Kevin and i picked up a copy at their offices while driving across country.  I finally have a scanner working with my laptop to be able to present it to you.  The picture only has a caption - no article has anything to do with it.  Click the image for a larger version.

Naughty Hands

I think most of us could benefit from this prayer. Of course, i think that these words might have been better edited for the children’s book this is a scan from.

Lookout!

Ryan tore this off of a box he received at work some time ago. I interpret them to say “forklift drivers beware of falling scales ahead.” What do you think it means?

Coke is it

Here are some old Coke ads from the “Tiger High-Lights” from an Ogden, Utah’s weekly high school newspaper from the 40’s.

Poor Pussy

From “The pocket book of games” circa 1973.
Poor Pussy
I can’t even read the instructions for this game without laughing. Look at that illustration. I love how the male stick figures are totally nude and the females have skirts on.  I’d be terrible at this game - i would be “IT.”

Not a hat

Plastic bags are not hats.

The image on the right will, of course, be modified for use on t-shirts.
