I went with the coveralls and orange shirt with a bandanna and rough facial hair for the prison themed Finger Food Friday.
Our Finger Food Fridays usually have a theme. Last Friday was “Prison” because a month ago we found some metal dining trays for free on the side of the road. Josh wore a badge and had fuzzy handcuffs.
I was picking up the last of the boxes of 4th of July stuff to go into storage at the Shipwrights when a fawn crossed the highway into our front lawn. Soon the mother and sibling joined. I took this pic from in the carport with my cameraphone. Yeti was on the porch watching.
Poor Ollie. Since this sping he’s had these awful dreadlocks. I cut them out a little bit at a time. I had an appointment to take him to the vet to have them removed but ended up too busy to get him in when i had the appointment so had to try and bring him in during my lunch break. The vet wasn’t there. So poor Ollie rode out to the vet and back for no reason. And he made this heart breaking sound the whole way.
Back in early May i pulled in the driveway and there was a deer right next to the car. Yeti then hopped up on the hood so i shot a few videos. Yeti stayed up on the car though. After Cena’s story a month later seeing a deer chase Ollie onto the porch and trying to clobber him with its hooves i understand him keeping his distance. Although i have witnessed him attack deer before.
Wow. I couldn’t believe the cost of filling up my tank last time. If work wasn’t quite so busy I might ride my bike in to town on decent days.
I spent Sunday working on cleaning out the stuff I have collected in the carport. Wood scraps, tools, a garage door (for when I get the building permit to enclose the carport) insulation, the railings I removed from the front deck… Lots of stuff. Even the oil from my last oil change. I even hosed down the asphalt. I used to have stuff stacked up behind the house too. But after removing the destroyed shed frame (from snow sliding off the roof onto the incomplete project) I used the pad to stack my collection of materials. I also finished disassembling the cedar railings. It was a good day to get things ready for my next few projects.
