Lobster dinner
We went to the Elk’s Lodge for dinner with Jerod and Melinda Cook last night. The ladies had lobster and the men had prime rib. It was delicious! (Well, I heard the lobster was delicious.)
Basket out of a tape measure
I salvaged about 75 feet of a metal tape measure a month or two ago from the dump. This morning I was feeling crafty so tried to weave with it but gave up after a little while. That’s when Pepper stepped in and she spent the next hour making this basket. I need to rivet …
Happy about her wristies
pepper’s wishlist included a portable vacuum, food processor, Alaskan IPA hooded sweatshirt, passport photos, and wrist warmers. There were more things – like boot polish, there were more puzzles she could have gotten, and other gifts. But she did well overall!
Jordan made me an Instructables Robot puzzle
Jordan had us buy a few blank puzzles at a craft store in Seattle. He made custom puzzles for Pepper and i. I got the Instructables robot!
Pepper’s turn to open her stocking
Jordan was first to open his stocking this year. Then Pepper went.
Kicking it in Mexico
This was near the Mexican border with Guatemala. The river was too muddy to enjoy, the bathrooms were filthy group arrangements, our room shared a roof (and no ceiling but mosquito netting) with a loud group, the food was bad, but this ratty hammock was ok.
Age of Empires
This game was an accidental gift. Pepper tried to get the Ages of Empires game for the computer for Jordan but accidentally bought the board game. We’ve played it twice and it has been really fun!
Our P&R Basketball team
Here’s “Team 2″ after our last game of the season. There were some amazing moments and some of the kids had a huge improvement in their understanding of the game!
