Making Mexican in Mongolia
Pepper made toastadas for dinner a few Sundays ago. It isn’t as easy as it would have been in the US. The tomatoes, cilantro, onion, sour cream and lettuce came from Mercury market – not all from the same vendor. Then the cheese came from the grocery store next door. The refried beans and Corona were from the American import store. The meat came from a man that fills custom orders for meats. The corn tortillas were purchased by me while I was in the US at the end of February.
We had tacos tonight but saved the corn tortillas for another special occasion.
