This reminds me of a time when living in Kenai, Alaska in the late 70′s. I literally got frozen in to my apartment. There were no phone lines out in that part of town yet in those days, and few neighbors. I was stuck inside for 2 days, and the next I had to get back to work. Fortunately, I was able to spot a distant neighbor crossing the parking lot and beat on the window for attention. She was able to force the door from the outside (I had not been strong enough to pull it open from the inside.) The ice was actually quite clear and solid a good 4 inches around the frame of the door. Ahhh … good times, good memories. Lol.
