A lighthearted moment during the candidate forum

The moderator of the candidate forum made a comment thanking Kathi Wasserman for “flashing” the candidates (their available time). We have a good time at our debates!

Pepper in Belize

The beaches in Belize are protected from much wave action by the second largest barrier reef in the world. So without much care the beaches end up covered in grasses. Our hotel did an alright job of keeping it clear… we pretty much always had the beach to ourselves.

Wolf

Saw my first daytime wolf on the island Tuesday. Pepper, Jordan and i were returning from a short hike at Three Lakes and this wolf crossed the road in front of us. I hopped out and jumped on top of the roof of the car to get a few shots of it.

Bonampak mural

This is an example of the colors of the murals at Bonampak. There seems to be significant evidence that the Mayans actually used a lot of color on the outsides of their temples too!

No matter what I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing trees growing on old ruins.

Instead of washing our sweat off in the dirty communal shower we opted to rinse it off in the dirty communal stream. It was cold, swift, and muddy.
