Drinking glasses from wine bottles
I’ve been saving wine bottles for a while to try out this project… We experimented with a few ways of cutting the glass but the tile saw works best. Then a Dremel bit to smooth off the rim and a good rinse of the glass chips and dust. These hold a full pint so they’re great… Pepper has one in the freezer now too!

Dead Guy Ale drinking glasses
I used a wet tile saw to cut the tops off of screen printed beer bottles to make these glasses. Then i used a glass filing bit on my Dremel to smooth the cut edge. These are large bottles – not your typical beer bottle size – so the glasses actually hold more than a pint.
You can buy these on etsy here.
Scrabble tile wine charms
Pepper spent a good portion of Saturday making wine charms out of Scrabble tiles, wire and beads. Of course, spelling the word “wine” is the most fun with them!

Earrings from fork handles
A few weeks ago i picked up a tray of silverware at a garage sale. some of them were really mismatched from the main pattern. I decided to whip up a pair of earrings out of the handles of one matched pair of forks. The theme for Saturday’s market was recycle and renew… So i brought them for the display table and the got quite a bit of interest. They are a bit heavy and too long for some people. I’ll experiment with some shorter and lighter pieces.
Rhubarb pielet
Rachel and i were talking about rhubarb because there’s a plant in my front yard that i have never used. I said i didn’t even like it. And she said “not even in pies?” I couldn’t recall ever having had rhubarb pie. Later she made one for her dad’s birthday and whipped up a tiny pie for me while at it.
Turns out that i do like rhubarb.
