I use a few services for listening to online radio. 977music.com is one of them. Just now, listening to their 80′s channel they played Bring Me Edelweiss by Edelweiss. Yes, it is form 1989… But i can almost guarantee that i’m one of precious few to have ever owned an Edelweiss CD.

Sunday i spent a while at the dump with Sarah and Keith. I pulled this door out of the burn pile. The other side is white and the bottom part of the door is more weathered. I ha planned on making a table out of it – perhaps for use on the deck or to sell. But Pepper suggested that if it was turned to one side that it would be a cool face for a dresser. Drawers could be made in the window holes and the three panels at the bottom. The color would match the paint in the bedroom quite nicely actually!

There were a number of these five drawer flat file cabinets for storing maps and other large documents. I found similar ones online for $500. I actually do have a number of maps and charts that would be great to keep stored in this. But also artwork that isn’t framed yet and even stuff that i find to use for wrapping paper will be nice to have in here. Like the small stack of blueprints form 1962 that i found in one of the drawers!

I found this tiny kitten that is just a few weeks old. It had a few seizures or some sort of fits shortly after having milk. But today it drank some whipping cream and ate quite a bit of wet cat food. Tomorrow the Humane Association will be picking it up from me.

I was talking to Pepper while outside of Kitos and heard a pitiful cat meow. I ended up grabbing this tiny kitten from under the boardwalk.

Saturday afternoon after spending most of the day on yard work I went to Chris and Sarah’s on Kupreanof. Bonfire, pizzas, a pint and Orin strumming the banjo. Happy equinox!

Marlboro offers some really great free stuff to (second hand) smokers. I have received a flashlight, credit card sized bottle opener, customized t-shirt, and now this aluminum water bottle. I do get occasional emails and over-the-top pieces of mail.
A somber face for the next month

I said goodbye in Shanghai on February 27th. I’ll see Pepper and Jordan again on April 3rd – just a little over a month. Then we will have two months until we see each again.
