China: Cable car ride up Mount Song

On the way up and down the mountain we were stared at by almost every other rider going the opposite direction. Some took pictures of us. Many said “hello” in the same almost parrot-like voice.

The Pagoda Forest is a collection of burial pagodas. The number of layers indicated the importance of the deceased. There were hundreds of the pagodas.

He caught me photographing his collection of medicines and suggested i buy one of the mushrooms. It cost me 20 RMB – or just under $3.

I liked the McDonald’s advertising on the back wheel of this bike. The day’s newspaper was posted and i swear everyone that i saw in China reading news this way was about 2 inches from the glass.
