I had kind of considered proposing on the Great Wall or some other special moment. But i am not very good at keeping secrets and i didn’t want her to accidentally stumble on the ring so i proposed considerably sooner than i had intended.

I bought the stone from Blue Nile out of Seattle. Their web site was great and the woman that helped me on the phone was quite supportive to my specifications and helped narrowing my choices.

I had the stone sent to a man in Georgia for a custom titanium tension setting.

On Tuesday for lunch and for dinner i had dumplings – a favorite food in the area. I hope to get the recipe – they were delicious.

Filled with ground pork, cilantro, onion and similar tasty combinations… i need to learn how to make these.

Tuesday afternoon i took a taxi to Pepper’s school and then we took a shuttle to pick up Jordan. We walked for a little while before picking up a tuk-tuk to head to Pepper’s.

We went to Jordan’s favorite restaurant for dinner – a Brazillian BBQ. Mmmm…mmmmeats. Bacon wrapped stuff, pork, beef, chicken, lamb… I ate myself into a jet-lag assisted coma.
