First of all, I wanna say that I envy you going to other places to celebrate your birthday. I really wanted to travel just to celebrate special events like my birthday. Anyway, good luck and may you post some photos of your trip here.

I'm still undecided. I had a Nikon 5400 and really liked it. A year after buying it i bought another Nikon a few models up - it had great optics but just was a bit too big for me. The 5400 was big too and i got it about 2004 so i figure i should be able to get just as much camera in a compact or even sub-compact form. I'd like decent optical zoom, (digital zoom is useless to me), geotagging would be cool, perhaps face recognition, i liked the swivel lcd for self portraits, easy access to flash settings... i'm picky.

What are you thinking about for a new camera? I've become a bit camera obsessed in planning out my Spring trip to Armenia and Georgia.
