Well, Christmas is just 30 days away. I made a decision today to do all of my shopping locally. That’s right family - you won’t be getting any gifts from Amazon or other retailers that save me much time and money by wrapping and shipping direct. I’ll have to get my act together because it means no last minute shopping either. And honestly, i’d love it if you did the same.
I heard on the radio this morning that online retailers are poised for a great year. Brick and mortar stores are not. People’s wallets may be hurting but they still will buy gifts. I will. But i want my money to go into the hands of some local business people instead of the coffers of an online retailer that is already doing well.
I’ll try and make a list of gift ideas that you can easily find anywhere instead of focusing on the one-of-a-kind gifts that i normally like so much.

ive thought before that it would be nice for every person in town to have owned a local business so they could see things from that same point of view. its hard to make things work here when people are so animate about saving a buck. spend 20.00 online on something or spend 25.00 on it locally and help out the town.
