I’ve been sitting down at the computer and fighting for attribution all over the web for my photo of Sarah Palin. Well, I really want attribution and a link. Some big name blogs (including the most popular blog according to Technorati) have used my photo.
When i woke this morning and checked my email i had this one…
Hi Ryan,
We are interested in using your picture of Sarah Palin dressed in fur. Do you think you could get back to me as soon as possible so we could talk about useage and fees. We are quite a few hours ahead so our deadline is close.
Many thanks
Madeleine.
Madeleine is the Assistant Picture Editor for The London Times. Even if i never hear back from her it was refreshing to be asked and offered compensation. Too many bloggers are stealing and it is nice to see the print media still has some sense of decorum.

how cool would it be to have an image printed in The London Times! it is cheaper for them to ask than receive a lawsuit.

I actually found your photo via Wikipedia, not your site. But you watermarked it, too. I’m not sure what you prefer we bloggers do, but I’m all ears.
