Everybody panic! 38 people are dead from vampire bats!  I was looking through my feeds and saw this alarming headline “38 dead after being bitten by vampire bats.”

In reading the article it turns out that the victims probably died from rabies.  And the 38 people died over a period of the past year.  YEAR.

Let me write some headlines based on those broad parameters.

20 killed by 3-wheelers (in Alaska in 1983 and 1994)

52 killed by lightning strikes (in Texas from 1990 to 2003)
