I noticed while going from session to session in D.C. that i am irritated by some of the other people that go to these conferences. I’m sure the same thing happens at every conference.
The first people into a meeting room sit on the ends of the rows of chairs. That forces everyone else that files into that row to shuffle by them. I make it a point to go directly to the center of the row so that people can still get to seats from either end. I just find blocking the ends of the rows rude and selfish. Sure, some sessions are going to be packed and they will be able to stretch out their legs or lean into the aisle and not have their shoulders touching their neighbor’s. I guess it is easy to pick out the selfish even in a room full of strangers.
