Cena and i split our monthly bills. We each pay our share for groceries, utilities, and household expenses. So once a month i transfer money to her account (utilities are in her name and she usually pays for food). I usually just call up the bank, give my account number, verify my identification, and give the amount and her name. Yesterday when i called to do that i was told that they now charge $2 for transfers over the telephone.
What?
In less than one year Cena and i have made $10,439.45 in interest payments to First Bank. So they have plenty of my money. I use direct deposit and automatic or electronic payments for every single bill except for this monthly payment to Cena. So i hardly ever take any of their employees time making a deposit or by cashing my checks. Now they are going to charge me to do something that takes an employee less than two minutes?

Hi,
I saw your post through a technorati search on bank fees. We developed an unbiased comparison tool to help people find better banks (findabetterbank.com). We just launced it so we’re trying to get some work of mouth. Check it out and mention it if you think it’s valuable.
Thanks, Rob
