Vacation thoughts

Thoughts Add comments

It is months away and we’ve already started to think about our reward for our diligence in getting out of debt. At trivia the other night a few friends invited us to go to Las Vegas with them next week. As much as we have enjoyed trips to Las Vegas in the past we were good and passed on the offer. We could have used our timeshare to have some inexpensive lodging. Alaska Airlines flies from Petersburg to Las Vegas and we both have ample miles stored up. If we had to overnight in Seattle we could have stayed with Bailee or Cena’s mom. But what’s the point if we can’t get Cher tickets at Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas until May?  We’ve seen the Blue Man Group twice, comedians a few times, magic shows and other performances.  So we wouldn’t be tempted to spend money on shows.  We’ve ridden all of the roller coasters in the city also.  What would make a trip to Vegas expensive?  Pai Gow Poker.  We’re both suckers for sitting and playing for hours.  Sure, you might win.  But it’s almost certain that we both won’t win.

I hear I live four hours from Vegas. Though I’m glad you passed on a trip next week… I’d need a little notice.
