Ryan McFarland

Today is my birthday. The first thing i do when i wake up is check my email on my phone. Overnight i sold a book for $50 that was bought for 50 cents. That’s a great start to the day. I had a few meetings today (an interview with KFSK about a trails meeting i have tomorrow and a motor pool advisory committee meeting). Had a nice long chat with my mom and dad.  Heard from my brother and sister too.  Cena bought me a gift despite our current ban on such things.  She also took me out to dinner despite our current ban on such things.  I suppose that can happen once a year.  And i sure hope we’re out of debt by the time her birthday rolls around (in early December)!  When we got home we watched a movie and a few episodes of Deadwood on DVD.  We’re nursing a flat home brew that i made last week (i think we let the house get too cool when we’re not here to allow for proper fermentation) and Cena is reading a book while i type away.  We’ll probably hop in the hot tub and try to ignore the canyon of snow we have to walk through to get to it.  I had some nice birthday wishes from grandparents, friends on the social networks and by email.  It was a great day.
