Remote computer access

Sometimes i have a file on a home computer that i need at work. The other day i needed to write up a letter requesting a donated airline ticket for a fund raiser for the upcoming conference — and we had one already written from our 4th of July stuff. It ended up taking me days to remember to have Cena email it to me. Another time i used some of my own photography on the main page of the Southeast Alaska Trails organization and when the contractor was working on recent updates he wanted my source pictures. Remote Access to my computers would probably expedite my workflow and could save me gas money in the future. When i first started using a smartphone i noticed some people had remote access to their computers via a software solution on their Treos. Now that i’m trying to set up a computer to run a web cam and serve info from my home weather station it would be nice to be able to reset something if i’m away on a work trip or a little vacation. I was a bit bummed that the web cam at Lux Boutique stopped working while we were in Asia. I wondered if there was snow on the ground a few times. For about $50 a year i could have that luxury. Ideally, i’ll end up with a stable setup that meets my needs that i don’t need to access remotely because everything runs smoothly and i am so organized that i never forget anything. Their service does have a nice trial period so it would be cool to see how well it works. I may time that trial to coincide with my trip in mid-March so i can get maximum use out of it.
