Gire

When you take on a new employee you have “hired” them.  When you let an employee go then they have been “fired.”  Hire. Fire.  H and F are near each other in the alphabet.  Between them is G.  Even on a keyboard G is sandwiched between F and H.  I propose calling the time that we spend at a job between being hired and fired “gired.”  How was gire today?
