Since 2000 i have owned a property at the Scottsdale Villa Mirage in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is a timeshare - a studio with red weeks throughout the year so it is great for trading for time in other places. I paid over $6,000 for it. I have the deed and everything. It comes with 2500 points annually (if you opt for the Sunterra or Diamond dues which is about $150 a year) and the maintenance fees have been running under $200 per year. I’ll sell the deed for $2000 and split closing costs evenly with the buyer.
I have used this timeshare to trade for time in Las Vegas, Mexico twice, Palm Springs, and Bali. Why do i want to sell my timeshare? I don’t particularly like being in just one hotel for an entire week. I like to travel a bit more and not feel tied to the room every night while on a trip. Also, it is the last item which my ex-wife and I have with both of our names on it.
Anyone want to buy my timeshare? I’m willing to negotiate!

do you take empty bottles and banana peels as forms of payment?

Unfortunately for you and the new owner, points in the Diamond Resorts Club (formerly Sunterra) do not transfer on sale. New owner has to pony up ~$3K to re-join the Club!
