I had about a half dozen massages while in Cambodia, Vietnam and Bali. The first place we went to was in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. For $3-8 dollars you can get an hour long massage or a foot massage or a massage with oil. Cena, Stacy, Levy and i opted for a oil massage and Seth, Coconut, and Karine stayed at the hotel. We were led to a dim lit room with small mattresses on the floor. They had a pillow on one end and a folded towel, t-shirt, and pajama bottoms at the other end. Each of the five mattresses could be isolated from the others with a curtain. There were five mattresses in the room - the first had cat pee and poo on it. Fortunately, we didn’t smell it. The staff left us in the room after pointing to the foot of the mattress and saying “please change” so we all disrobed and pulled on the pajama pants and t-shirts. Except Stacy. His t-shirt was too small. The girls (and one guy) came in and giggled and pointed at our still folded towels. They left us to change again - this time we wrapped the towels around our bodies and then lay face down. Before this trip i had experienced two paid massages. This was different. They worked over the legs and feet first and then popped each toe with a yank and a snap of the fingers. They also made a clapping sound with both hands held together and sort of karate chopping on the muscles after they had finished working over the tissue. They worked our arms and back also - and cracked our fingers with the same motion. Then they had us roll over and they worked on our thighs and then had us sit up so they could sit behind us and massage our neck, shoulders, and scalp. Mine tried to crack my back but she was far too small to manage that. We had other massages in the nights that followed. In My Tho, Vietnam Mike, Levy, and i went with Eugene to the spot he went for a sauna, steam bath and massage all for $3. It was in a strange hospital-like setting. the massage was fairly painful too - lots of smacking our skin with cupped hands. But i got my back walked on there (and at one of the places in Siem Reap, Cambodia also) so i liked it overall. The tea tree oil in the steam room was great also.

I had a massage done on the beach in Na Trang, Vietnam. I insisted on doing it out on the lounge chairs in front of the restaurant we were renting a spot from. My last massage was in Bali at our resort. I fell asleep despite having a difficult time getting my face comfortable on their massage table. That was the only massage i had done on a massage table.
