(Another post not showing up that i had attached to an image.)
Somehow I slept through my incredibly annoying alarm clock this morning. Fortunately the front desk called to see if I was going to make their free shuttle to the airport. It was 4:41 AM. I told them to leave without me and considered snooze. Then I realized that the shuttle was taking people to the airport and I still had my stuff strewn about and needed a shower. I took care of those two items and called the desk to contact a cab company. I had enough time to grab a yogurt from their breakfast room. It was a $9 fare to the airport. I arrived and was able to check in at a kiosk and get right in the line to go through security - a definite pro to packing just carry-ons. Since I have flown plenty in the past few years I am MVP which has scored me free first class upgrades and that allowed me to get on the plane right after the families with small children. Not a good start to the day really. Especially since I have an eternal layover in Juneau again. …and then there’s the small issue of me somehow losing my debit and credit card while walking around yesterday afternoon.

When I was flying to NYC often I had gone through the trouble of finding “dressy” shoes with no metal in them (air port security confirmed this on a slow day). I used to be able to show up 5 minutes before boarding (I also only brought carryons) and not miss the flight.
I wouldn’t even try that anymore. Good thing the shoes are comfortable or they would have been a waste…
