Google pagerank updated

Looks like Google updated their pagerank algorithms today.  One of my weekly checks in my blog pagerank - just look at a post from any Wednesday for the last 9 months or so.  Yesterday zieak.com was a pagerank 4 site.  Today it is a pagerank 4 site.  No improvement?  In most cases that would be frustrating.  I have been producing some original and worthy content and in general most of my stats have been improving.  The only thing that makes me almost happy about a stagnant page rank is that some other search engine worthy websites were knocked down.  Forbes.com, Engadget, and the Washington Post - all went from a PR of 7 to 5.  (source)

The sentiment on the interweb is that sites with paid advertisers that didn’t use the nofollow link (tells search engines not to bother following those links for that anchor text) or that they were part of a large network of blogs that were just interlinked.
