When we went to sleep last night i knew that this morning wasn’t going to be a good one. We watched a few episodes of Nip Tuck last night and before going to bed i went downstairs to let one cat out and another in. At the bottom of the stairs there was a puddle. I looked all around and finally noticed a huge puddle in the kitchen - right in front of the dishwasher (which had just finished a load). Wet kitten tracks everywhere. So we mopped up the water with sponges and noticed that the kitchen sinks were not draining when we dumped water in. I turned up the heat to dry the floors out and we went to bed.
Another lake of water was on the floor in the morning. I mopped it up but dumped the water outside this time. We poured a drain cleaner in the kitchen sink. Cena received her cell phone bill - it was almost $100 more than it should have been. So she was on hold with GCI and putting away the clean dishes while i put out the trash and recyclables. She dropped a glass on the floor and it sent shards all over the already wet floor. We got it cleaned up. The drain cleaner didn’t work. GCI said they would fix her billing problem. I plunged the sink and it started draining again.
I leave town for two weeks in 24 hours - i don’t have time for plumbing problems. Hopefully we have it repaired.
