Ryan McFarland

I just checked to see how my attempt to push zieak.com up in the rankings for a search for “ryan mcfarland” and now it ranks 4th in a search on Google.  I don’t recall what rank it had on the 27th of July but i said that my 43things page was number 2 and now it is number one.  How did i manage that?  Well, a few things.  Some websites let you change your username but retain your login.  So i was able to change some from displaying “Zieak” to showing “Ryan McFarland”  If they link to your website using your name then you will get better ranking from Google.  Writing a few blog posts with my name in the title should help.  Also linking to zieak.com with the anchor text “Ryan McFarland” has certainly helped.
