Foat Plane Dock Sunset
I stayed with Don who lives near the northern end of the road system in Ketchikan. Every day i drove by this float plane dock near Ward Cove. On my last evening there i had the time and the light was right to shoot a few shots. This is my favorite.
Ketchikan’s Creek Street
I have spent the night in Ketchikan perhaps three times. This was the first time that i got to see Creek Street or any of the downtown area.
Native carving
Ketchikan has a definite native presence. I shot the above picture downtown and the carving below in the airport.
The Salvation Army
Cena and I used to go to the Peterburg Salvation Army a few times a week to look for good deals. Sadly, i wasn’t able to find time to peruse the one in Ketchikan even though Don raved about it.
City Hall
I saw Ketchikan’s city hall when Amber, Karen, and i walked out of an outfitter store where Karen bought rubber boots for her year in Alaska. I like how generic the building looks.
Mike’s Bikes
One of the bike shop name ideas was Mike’s Bikes. Turns out that Ketchikan has (had?) one.
