We’re in the process of booking a huge trip.  Seth is getting married in Vietnam so we’re planning on going.  We’ll leave Petersburg (PSG) November 15th and arrive in Singapore (SIN) on the 28th.  From there we’ll take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon - SGN) where we’ll whoop it up for a few days before the wedding on December 1st.  Then we’ll go to “the beach” with the family and friends until December 8th.  We’ll fly back to Singapore on the 8th and head to Bali (DPS) to stay at the Peninsula Beach Resort until the 15th.  We’ll zip back to Singapore to then fly through Tokyo, Japan (NRT, with about 10 hours on the ground) and Honolulu, Hawaii (HNL, 6 hours on the ground!) clear home.  We’re using frequent flier miles to get from Petersburg to Singapore and from Tokyo back home ($108.60 including taxes and fees).  Unfortunately the leg from Singapore to Tokyo did not have open seats for us to book with miles.  The cost of that one way leg for both of us was $1,093.19.  On the plus side - we change flights in Kuala Lumpur so we’ll be on the ground in five countries other than the US on the trip.  I’ll also be able to scratch Hawaii off of my short list of states i have not been in.  The flight from Singapore to Vietnam and back only ran us $511.79.  The flight to Bali and back was just $569.79.  Now we need to handle visas.
