Technological Twilight Zone

I’m in Valdez for a few meetings and a conference. Before leaving yesterday i installed a few new games on my phone for the flights. I was opening one of the programs when my Treo680 was thrown into a reset loop. It would shut down, boot up, shut down, boot up… so i did a warm reset by holding the up button while removing the battery. I then uninstalled the program so i wouldn’t have the problem again. We checked my bag and went to lunch. While eating i tried to check my email from my phone. I do this daily perhaps half a dozen times or more. Instead of retrieving the mail it says “Unable to find Net.lib”. Text messaging doesn’t work. My phone can’t receive incoming calls - they go to voicemail. I have to shut the phone down to end calls i make and i can’t dial from my phone book - only from speed dial. Using Filez to look at all the files on Cena’s phone doesn’t shed any light on where this missing file is when it isn’t missing. When i finally arrive in my hotel room i start working on trying to figure out how to fix the problem. Some websites have suggested just syncing again and the file will be restored. I can’t do that since my computer is still in Petersburg. I had Cena send me a few files that are backed up to the computer when a Treo is synced but they didn’t work. Suddenly my internet connection failed at the hotel. I rebooted many times, tried repairing the wireless connection, even logged on as a different user. Nothing worked. So i called the front desk and was told that there were problems with the internet connection and they hoped to have it fixed sometime Wednesday. I talked to Cena again and she sent me all of the files in the backup folder of the computer i sync my Treo with. All of those files are still on my phone.
