In the years that i have been blogging there has been a real shift in the focus of what i write about. I still do it for my family though. This is a personal page and it definitely helps to keep in touch with those that are thousands of miles away. But when i read about people that make money online through affiliate links, advertisements, and paid posts it is a real inspiration to do more with what i have. I’ve mentioned John Chow before. By doing a review of his blog he’ll link back to zieak.com pushing up my technorati ranking ever so slightly. I drop by his site daily and lurk through the posts and comments. He’s inspirational though – that’s where i got my idea for Alphablogging that ended up being a flop. I don’t have the reader base that he has so i’m not discouraged (yet). If you want to see amazing utilization of the search engine systems pop by his blog for a few days and watch him work his magic. I don’t share his enthusiasm for cars or fine dining but just about everything else he posts i devour.
