Friday night was quiet. I’m on call at Kito’s now so i only work of the crowd calls for it. They didn’t so i was able to watch Sleepaway Camp 3 featuring Pamela Springsteen (yes, Bruce’s sister) as a psychotic killer at a camp. This was a product of a group of us watching Sleepaway Camp in preparation for Halloween this year. Saturday we slept in and around noon lost power at the house. After an hour and a half went by we contacted the police department to ask if anyone had reported an outage. It was just us. Power and Light came out and saw that a transformer that serves us and one neighbor had blown a fuse so they replaced the fuse and left. I was up on the roof cleaning windows of the second story and we heard and saw the transformer blow a fuse again. They said it sounded like a shotgun going off and it sure did. So PMPL came out again and changed the entire transformer over the next few hours. Ever since, the lights don’t dim as much when you use the hot water. Power and Light plan on replacing the line that feeds the house from the transformer with a larger line which should Saturday night we went to Orin’s place and had a little surprise party for him. He turned 23. Dang - i’m hanging out with some youngsters! Anyway, we played Loser and i didn’t “win” for the fist time.
