After using blogger for many years i have finally outgrown it. I want to have a members only area that is just for selected personal posts while still sharing the rest of my stuff with the world. I needed more php capabilities, and better general control. I’ll work on migrating all of my old content (almost 900 posts!) so nothing is missing. The password for the “protected” posts is the same password as was used to enter the members area before.
A few hours later and i have the words moved over and half of my posts categorized. Commenting will take some more work to migrate and getting all of my bells and whistles running right will take another few hours easily.
Long before i moved in with Cena i noticed how the inside of the dishwasher was discolored. I actually thought to myself that i was surprised that she let the inside look so stained with rust (the house used to be on a well system for water). She later told me that she had tried cleaning it and so did Marina one time. I tried using CLR to remove the rust but that didn’t work either. In my mind it was time to just buy a new one – but only once the darn thing cleaned dishes a little poorer. Then i bought some Super Iron Out and now the thing is pristine inside. I just ran an empty load with a hopper full of the stuff and it cleaned all the rust off of everything.
I submitted our Halloween projects to the Make and Instructables contests. I didn’t win anything at the Make contest – there were some other really great entries though. On Instructables i won second place for the Biohazard Beer Barrel project. It sounds like i can get a magazine subscription instead of the spy glasses thing. I have to decide in the next ten days. I have had a year of Readymade (which would always make a good gift idea) and think i would like Make. I read their blog daily and just devour it.
Last night I found a way to screen scrape results from an AXS page and post them as text using php and a screen scraping technique. Fun!
It is wonderful that Hormel makes bacon that is fully cooked and can be kept on the shelf for months. Sure it is a little pricey but it makes a good pizza topping, will be great on camping trips, and is an excellent after school snack! Mmmm Bacon!
I wish I had come up with this.
