Somehow i broke my site template. So i made myself feel better about it last night by modifying the comments section.

Oh my! What has happened to the monkey Cena won at Circus Circus in Las Vegas? It looks like Zieak may have picked him out of the thrift store box and plucked his eye out! But… what nefarious plan could he have that would involve the eye of a stuffed animal?

A purse!

Some of you might not know that I’m a bit of a fan of chainsaws. When I was a senior in High School I put “learn to use a chainsaw” on a list of 50 things to do before i die. I’m able to fall trees, build benches and tables, and do just about anything short of carving a bear with my chainsaw. Today i had a first though. I cut down a difficult tree that was leaning on another tree – over power lines and a park sign. Ira raised me in a bucket attached to the boom truck about 80 feet up and i topped the tree, narrowly missing the park sign. The trunk of the tree sprung back with the release of the weight of the top and gave me another first – my first injury from running a chainsaw. I have a two inch scratch on my right forearm from a branch grazing me. It was fun. I can’t say it wasn’t a little frightening. But sometimes fun and fright are awfully close on the emotional scale.

This is Hex. She is one of the two kittens we got on Sunday (her brother’s name is Ash). Yeti and Ollie are not very enthusiastic about the addition yet though.

I didn’t take many pictures in Vegas. It really isn’t very scenic in the city area. But here is one of the three shots i took with my treo on the trip. Took it on the way into the Stratosphere before we rode the rides on top. I’ve done most of them 3 times now and i’m still giddy before and after.

A few months ago i entered my card reader inside a Nintendo controller project on the instructables website. As a runner up in the contest they had running for that month i won a shirt. It took a while but finally arrived…

Polka all night long

Sometimes djing is very different. Last night it was a rock pit party. Tonight is polka and country at a birthday party.

I finally got a copy of Popular Photography’s July edition. One of my photos of one of my projects is featured on page 20. I just got an email from the guy using my photo of the Alamo at openrepositories.org.

I’m glad you like it. BTW, I had an interesting experience
the other day while reading the latest Popular Photograhy
magazine (my wife has a subscription), and I saw your name
in print!

Evidently, this is just your year for photographic
recognition :-).
