Today we made it up to the Arctic Circle on the Dalton Highway. I’m tired so will have to post some pictures and words tomorrow. Sorry.

So Kevin and i have camped out at the same hotel that the Petersburg guys are staying in for the fire conference. The Lake Lucille Inn is on our way north. We bought a Milepost for the drive tomorrow. We don’t know exactly where we’re headed – other than to “head north young men”. We had to buy cds so we could listen to music. And we found a cheap set of computer speakers at one of the Salvation Army’s that we visited so we can pipe music from a computer or Kevin’s mp3 playing discman into the cabin of the Kia Sorento we’re driving. I should be taking more pictures to post with these updates. We had dinner with Tiffany and Vivian, we got to see Anthony, and had drinks with Ryan, Dave, and Mike. I ate a McDonald’s breakfast and a Taco Bell lunch. Kevin did too and the egg/bean combination is especially potent. Even when he’s sleeping. He’s going to crack up when he reads this.

I definitely did not expect to find one of the visors that we used in Petersburg to show the people that helped out with events tucked in a pile of trucker hats and company foam domes at a Value Village. I should come to expect the unexpected. Then if nothing unexpected then i could act surprised.

This will mean nothing to some people other than i am even more nerdy. I bought two bluetooth usb adapters today for under $30 each. They have a 300 foot range. I just set up my cell phone to sync with my laptop wirelessly. The second will be set up in my car and hopefully then i will be able to use bluetooth to pause the mp3 player when i have an incoming call. I should also be able to get the car’s speakers to act as the phone speaker and i can install a microphone in the dash to talk into the phone (through the computer).

Tonight is my first night back at Kito’s and it will be my last for a while too. Because of the travel that I’m doing for the next few weeks i will not be in town for a weekend until the last weekend of October. Yes. Halloween. Saturday night i’ll be playing music for Jody Leekley’s wedding reception. Devren has almost all the stuff necessary to automate a light show from winamp. And i see there is free software to broadcast winamp live on the internet in a streaming format so i could archive my shows.
