In February i got new glasses. I have a vision plan with my “health care provider” so submitted my receipts and claim forms for the eye exam ($60) and the spectacles ($300) in the same envelope by the end of February. By April i realized that they had reimbursed me for the exam but not the glasses. I called, talked to someone that told me that they must not have received the receipt and they gave me a fax number. I resubmitted my receipt. June rolls along and i still have not seen anything. So I call and my account says they are waiting for me to submit a claim for my glasses. I tell this person that i sent it twice already. She gives me another fax number and i send it. She called me back to let me know they had received it. August rolls around and still nothing. I call. Yes, she says it indicates on my file that someone received the receipt fax and that they sent it on to “claims” but it appears that it has not made it through their processes. I sit on hold for a while. She tells me that she’ll track it down and let me know. Two weeks crawl by and still nothing is showing up as a submitted claim on my website profile. So i just sent an angry email.

I hope i don’t get cancer. Battling a disease and this insurance company is enough to kill you. Damn. That’s exactly what they want.

o i think insurance companies run the world. and personally, i’ve never ever ever ever had anyone answer the phone (after a good 25 minutes of being on hold) with an IQ over 40.
it’s fun faxing the same form, with the confirmation sheet of the six times you already faxed, huh? you should do your black construction paper prank to them. Every 20 minutes.
