This slug was pretty big. It had almost half of its body raised up and it seemed to be sniffing the air.
This little bird was in the middle of the street. I stopped my car and hustled the little guy to the curb. I then cupped my hands around him to give him a boost onto the sidewalk and he started flying as i boosted him up.

vivian and i were nearly attacked yesterday by an arthritic poodle while trying a similar rescue from busy 5th avenue, right where it becomes the Glenn Highway but is still residential? …. yeah, the dog didn’t appreciate my concern.
Sometimes my baby looks at me like I have terrible judgment. Darting in and out of traffic to boss around a freedom-lovin’ dog. but who can just drive by while it staggers around in the road?
