Tinker tinker… In my freeware search i stumbled upon miFiles which i have been using to ftp the site updates. Now all i need is a decent wysiwyg html program and i’ll be happy with my software lineup (for a little while). As you see, i added the random header images again and did a little bit of other color and style changes. I have drifted quite a bit from the last major revision that used an off-the-shelf blogger template.

It seems that i need to fix some of the spacing and the position of the random image. Tinker, tinker…

More tinkering… eliminated the link to commenters email. So now you can set up a Gravatar account and fill in the email field in my comments and not worry about unwanted people getting your email address. Although there are only 25 people or so that have access to the site so hopefully that isn’t too much of a concern.

I looked at the EULA and it may require registration. The registration doesn’t require a fee. I wounder what that catch is, why register and not require a fee?? (this from EULA):
“All Simdata software must be properly
registered with Simdata after an initial evaluation period of 30
days. Use of the SOFTWARE beyond the initial evaluation period
without a valid registration is prohibited.”

Yeah - i registered it. I suspect they will develop the program until they have a loyal fan-base and then go the paid route eventually. Trillian-esque. In one of my conversations with the ePrompter folks they indicated that they will require payment eventually. Like the crack dealers giving the first few samples free.
