For about 10 years i have slowly gathered poems and saying scrawled on the walls of restrooms. My grand plan was to compile a book with one page having a writing and the opposite page having a photograph. I’ve also slowly been taking those photos. Well, naturally someone else has also been gathering sayings. The writing on the stall is a pretty nice compilation - now i just need to have it available when i’m on the toilet…

just last weekend my mother-in-law and I made several trips to the restroom at an LA restaurant, as one of the stalls had a welcoming chalkboard. Best entry: “wish me luck on the spelling bee.”

Oh, shit- I grew up traveling on the ferrys—- the best one I read was ” don’t bother squatting over the seat-the crabs in Alaska can jump 40 feet! What the hell- no wonder I was a virgin until 18+
