I really like Coke Classic. I just went down the hall and put a dollar in the vending machine and got my Coke and 95 cents back.

At the Parks and Recreation conference I just attended in Juneau three of my sessions discussed obesity. I watched Supersize Me and the same maps and figures from the CDC were used. Take a look at the powerpoint file on this page for a jaw dropping visualization of this epidemic.

It is important to realize that the BMI calculation is a limited tool for measuring overweight and obesity. I’m 5’11″ and weigh around 185 so i’m “overweight” according to the BMI scale. Yeah. I can pinch more than an inch.

I’m thinking of having the candy and pop machines removed from the gym. It just seems like some kids only use the gym to use the candy and pop machine. Not the kind of lifestyle we really want to encourage.
