Ryan McFarland

Christopher Reeve died. I remember where i was when i found out he was paralyzed. It was in May of 1995 and i was in Boulder with Scott Schaeffer visiting Mike VanElzakker on our way to Philmont. It was dark out and i was crossing a street and a girl ran up to me and said “Superman is paralyzed!” Which at first seemed like an odd thing to run up to someone and say until i realized that i was wearing my superman shirt that i had bought in New York City two years earlier. I still have that shirt and it is in pretty good shape considering it is more than 10 years old.
