On Thursday for our weekly fire drill we burned a shed at the landfill. Klas Stolpe was there taking pictures for the Pilot. That’s me looking all grumpy.

Yeah - that grassy area between the stream and his field lit up like a barn full of hay. That sucked. I once was trying out the steel wool and battery trick and it worked. I dropped the steel wool onto a wool sock which then ignited. Don’t try that at home. Especially not in your bedroom. I threw the whole flaming pile out the window. Seems like i did that with a grease-firing frypan full of bacon once too.

I remember the bacon grease fire. You threw the pan out the kitchen window into the snow. Is that why you don’t cook anymore?

I just have other people cook bacon for me. “Bacon cheeseburger without mayo please.” “Can i get the french dip - with bacon?” and most recently - “I’d like the chef salad but could you switch the ham with bacon please?”
