I finally made some progress on the website for LeConte Outfitters. Just the vessel and hunting pages along with the main page have anything going on just yet. I got the paperwork for an Alaska business license today. Time to start collecting sales tax on projects like this (and the photos and djing as well). I’m starting up a media empire!

I like the sound of that: “Media Empire” :-) Join the club on the fun aspects of state sales tax collecting! Though Alaska has to be better than NY to deal with! Did you hear the latest? We are to track our spending by location, and pay on our income tax form in April the difference in sales tax. For example, everything I buy at Eastview I must report and pay the difference in the 7.25% tax there and Monroe county’s 8.25% – oh, and it went up that 1/4 % sometime this year! Also to report everything bought over the internet or through a catalog, or when on an out-of-state trip…
Now, I wonder if the state is going to keep that, or if it goes to the county of residence?
Oh, the joys of living in the “Empire” state!
