To celebrate my birthday Jim Edgars, Emilie Sperl, and Amy Winters took me out on a camping trip. We stayed at a private cabin so we only had to bring food, tioletries, clothes and sleeping bags. The weather was pretty rainy the whole time we were there. Shawn Luhr loaned his boat to us so we didn’t have to make the ride in an open skiff. Marley came along and behaved quite well. I decided to start using “As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted…” to start my stories off instead of “There I was, minding my own business…” Some photos. Anthony & I have had a good bit of fun with “In my culture…” to begin our sentences. It occurred to me that “The Lord put it on my heart…” (to refill this stapler; to avoid the chipped beef in the cafeteria today) is the beginning of most sentences uttered by a co-worker of mine.
I’m probably going to stab her.

Yeah - the “lord one” would get on my nerves. Amy had stabs of guilt after i would say “…before i was so rudely interrupted” until she realized that she hadn’t interrupted. I’m so far from growing up.

I like how you use my last name. When someone asks me what I did today, I’m goin to say, “Well then Ryan McFarland picked me up for lunch, and we went to our house…”
….and Tiffany, I’m going to say that Lord one all the time now.
